Jose L. Abellan is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at the Catholic University of Murcia, Spain. Dr. Abellan received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the University of Murcia, Spain, in 2007, 2008 and 2012, respectively. In the summer of 2011, he was a pre-doctoral researcher in the Department of Engineering at the University of Ferrara, Italy. From 2012 to 2014, he was a post-doctoral researcher in the Integrated Circuits and Systems Group at Photonics Center - Boston University, USA. His research interests include performance optimization and energy efficiency of computing systems. More specifically, Dr. Abellan is working on intra/inter-chip network design, memory system architectures, silicon-photonic link technology, and HW/SW-acceleration for Deep Learning.
